I don't think I'm crazy. I just noticed last night that the face of my 6900 will glow for a few minutes after I use the backlight. I asked my wife if she saw it and she verified it was happening. I never noticed this before. It isn't enough to see anything, just a really subtle glowing.
That'll be phosphoroscence from the chemicals used in the EL, I'm guessing.
Basically the same stuff as glow-in-the-dark stickers, or if you've been watching an old CRT TV in a dark room and then turn it off (not looking at the blinding flash that occurs), you'll notice a faint glow.
I have seen that too. I think, like DragonJade, that there is a kind of phosphorescence stuff in the EL panel. The glow is very dim. You will only see it in the very dark. I live in a very lighted area, so for mew it's hard to see when at night the lights are turned off.
That's what I figured but I just noticed it after years. I really did think I was going crazy at first. Wouldn't be too far off the mark if I was. Heh.
Humm. Maybe you are crazy, but don't know it. What do the other voices in your head say? :-d
