I am considering either an Avenger M1 Chronograph or a Sinn chronograph. Generally, I would prefer a mechanical movement, but the super quartz could grow on me if there are performance benefits. This watch would be used for diving and general recreation/adventuring/rough treatment.

On the plus side for the M1, I like the larger dial and the fact that the pushers can be used underwater (Sinn has screw down pusher models, or regular pusher models only), but I like the features Sinn has (magnetic field resistance, extreme cold resistance, dehumidifying/moisture detection, etc).

So my question is: Are Superquartz movements affected by extreme cold and magnetic fields to the same extent as mechanical movements can be?
