I just finished cleaning an Elgin grade 241 movement and it was running great but when I put it back in the case the head of the ratchet wheel screw popped off when I wound it. The stud came out of the arbor and measures around .032 diameter, this doesn't seem to be a standard screw size the closest I could find on the net was a #000 machine screw at .034. Anyone know the screw size and thread pitch or better yet where I could buy a replacement original ?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Elgin had their own screw thread standards, just a heads up there. Been a long time since I had to source U.S. watch screws (S.Larose assortments if that puts a date on it) but there are likely close to millions out there. Someone will chime in with a supplier.
