Tax breaks are done by state by state and the last I heard only two
states have signed such a treaty. As to New York, I don't know. If pressed, ADs will eat the tax.

Weak Dollar will benefit you...

The $$$ is so weak I am sure you will do very well buying one here. Good luck finding the right one.

I was in NY last week. The AD said i would save on tax if the watch is mailed to you out of state... i think that would mean you need to find the watch you want then send the cash or cheque so they post it later...otherwise the tax is unavoidable.

Generally you pay for the watch there and then they ship it to you. Some people will just ship the box and allow you to wear the watch. It doesn't hurt to ask.

In steel? Priceless, I would think. Extremely rare and impossible to find. ;-)

No, the steel model is actually quite common! Available on eBay for around $50 I'd bet ;-).
