thats an awesome watch. How do you activate the ELT?
You unscrew the round "cap" (large knob a bit below the crown) and extend the enclosed wire (an antennae).

Caution! This is only to be done in a true (aviation) emergency, it is not something that can be turned off once activated. If used in an aviation emergency, Breitling will restore (or replace?) the watch at no charge. If it is done by "accident" (your four year old gets hold of it for example), they will charge, and I think it's a lot!


For testing, you can press a small button on the back of the watch and monitor the signal either with an aircraft band scanner/radio tuned to 121.5 mhz or with the included test receiver. In the USA, this is to be done only in the first five minutes of the hour (per FAR's for testing aircraft ELT's).

Oh, one more thing. I want one! b-)

Why don't my pictures ever look as good as everyone elses? And I wasn't fortunate enough to be able to score a UTC. I got this back today after a full service trip.
