Hi, my first post here...

I just bought an Edifice EQW-M1100DB-1AER. I absolutely love how the watch looks and feels, and how every function is handled analogically, BUT... the alarm volume is relatively low. I don't think it will wake me up from sleep. I must admit that I did read some reviews which mentioned this, but I somehow refused to believe that any manufacturer would make an alarm watch with an inadequate volume... But now I'm thinking that maybe this watch, and perhaps also other analog Edifices which have only one "daily alarm", are not even designed to be used to wake you up, but the alarm is rather meant as a remainder signal during daytime when you are already awake?

The watch has a 30-day return policy, and now I'm pondering what I should do. If someone could recommend me some roughly similarly priced Casio Tough Solar Multiband 6 model that has a really usable wake up alarm, I could consider returning this EQW-M1100 and buying it instead. I'm particularly interested in the model ECW-M300, as it has not only 5 alarms but also the snooze feature, so it is clearly designed to be used as a wake up alarm watch. If anyone has experience with both models I would appreciate your comment about their alarm volumes. But also any other Tough Solar Multiband 6 recommedation is welcome.

Or is it so that low alarm volume is a typical feature of all Casio solar watches? Is the alarm volume made low to preserve energy? Should I forget the solar feature if I want a usable alarm? Or is it even so that low volume is typical for all newer Casio watches? Should I look at other brands altogether...?

Thank you very much in advance!

OK, I did some more googling and searching here (yes I know, should have done that before asking the above questions, and definitely before buying the watch...). So, it seems that the weak alarm is a common issue in newer Casios in general, and especially in solar powered ones. That's a pity, because I really like the idea of solar power and atomic timekeeping, but would also like to have a good alarm. But that seems to be a rare or even a non-existent combination.
