Hi All,

My inlaw has a retrofitted vintage omega...and the person he used to do the retrofitting used a miyota 2035...literally the cheapest quartz model out there. Its a simple 3 hand only model.

I want to improve the movement to a higher quality quartz movement, something with jewels and ideally swiss made. After looking at the dimensions of the miyota 6 3/4 x 8 Ligne or 15.3 x 17.8 mm and 3mm thick, I've narrowed my search to either a ETA 902.101 or ISA 336/168. has info on the ETA
and has info on the ISA.

The ISA has 5 jewels, the ETA has 4. I personally thick think the ETA looks nicer and its swiss made. The ISA is swiss parts, but "far east assembled". Anyone have opinion which movement would be better? or another option for a higher-end miyota 2035 replacement?

thanks a lot! I'm new to watch repair, but feel confident i can make this repair!
