Looks like a rather generic Swiss wind-up ca 1960 or so. I've never heard of Modaine, but there are hundreds of these types of brands that were around after World War II. Most have disappeared as a result of the quartz revolution.
The correct brand is Mondaine, and had teh same "logo" of that picture.
This brand was swiss, and very famous in Brazil.
It came to our country about 50 years ago.
Today it's a genuine brazilian brand (thus Technos) , and sold to all south america (link below)
Interesting. The logo and typeface are the same as used on Mondaine watches of the period. If it was just one I would have said a mistake in a redial, but with two of them? Maybe they used the name without the 'n' for certain markets? I have not seen it before though.
I haven't seen that Brazilian link before either. We live and learn..
