I have the B2000R-1A and it’s on the stock rubber strap. I have purchased the DLC Ti bracelet but after going to 4 different watchmakers today no one could change the strap for me due to the tool it takes apparently. Many thought it was an Allen wrench but alas it is not or so I’m told.
Can anyone help me out? I did a search but turned up nothing.
Thank you all in advance.

I of course as a poor man do not own any MRG, so I will let other MRG owners here to chime in for their actual experience.

But from the best picture I could find below, it pretty much confirms what you said that the lug screw is proprietary. Given the price of the watch, you don't wanna risk damaging it. I guess you have to send to Casio for any service, including replacing the strap.

The reason I am interested in this, is I was trying to decide whether to get a MTG or MRG, and ability to swap bands makes the proposition of spending that kind of money more palitable. My intutition is the current crop of MRG and their cases must be nearing end of life. I'm going to get a MTG and see what happens if and when Casio update the MRG. Not that Casio have covered themselves in glory in the MTG band situation either, but at least the price is less.

The current MTG toolless strap and bracelet removal is brilliant. Granted you're still kind of stuck with Casio's proprietary straps, but I only wear mine on bracelet anyway. I'm hoping they eventually start offering more straps since the whole system is so incredibly convenient and pretty much designed for swapping and having fun.
