Fake GM-5600B?

I recently purchased a GM-5600B on eBay, decent but not outlandish price, marked as new with tags. The box, tin, etc all seem OK however the module paperwork included was wrong, which got me suspicious. I had a poke through the real module manual online and all the functions work correctly. The caseback engraving is of comparable quality, the model number and module numbe are correct...but here's where it gets funny. The caseback is screwdown, not using 4 little screws. I'm pretty sure they only use this on their premium watches e.g. the JDM GW5000. The strap connection to the case is wrong too, it is supposed to be quick release. The metal case is also a little off, it's more of a matte sheen whereas I think the real has a slight 'grain' to it.

I'm 90% sure this is a fake (a decent one, but still a fake), can a G-Shocker more knowledgeable than me confirm? I can get a refund no problem. I can also link to the eBay page if allowed/required. Pictures:

Yep, definitely a fake. I got in touch with the seller who admitted it was a fake!

The module seems to have all the same functions as the legitimate 3229, if I wasn't returning it then I'd open it up and see what the module is. I couldn't get the A + B + D screen to come up (diagnostics?) but I'm not sure if the legit module has this function.

The stamping on the bezel is definitely subpar. The bezel is supposed to have a brushed type finish. The buttons are larger, and stick out further. And most importantly, the case is resin on this model. So like you said, it would have a back plate instead of a screwback.

It looks like a high quality fake however. How does it operate?
