Hey all, I recently picked up a speedy on a very definitely incorrect-for-this-model omega signed bracelet, but I am wondering if it's really an omega bracelet at all. The clasp fells a bit cheap compared to a similar one I've got, and while the link structure looks the same from a distance, it's definitely different than my only other reference. (also pulls a bit of wrist hair) There are no markings on the lugs as it's been modified by someone in the past to fit a different case.

Any opinions on this thing?

The quality looks pretty iffy to me, which does not mean it isn't real, but it looks poorly made.

Looks like a legit Holzer bracelet to me. Bracelets form back in the day were indeed pretty cheap....

+1 I've seen Omegas from 1960s on a pretty cheaply made original bracelets. As far as I recall, looked exactly like on your picture, thin metal and flimsy assembly. Wouldn't worry too much about it.

Definitely didn't buy it for the bracelet, but good to know 😁

My only other Omega bracelet is a 1162 from mid 1970's? It's a bit more substantial at the clasp, so it had me wondering

Early bracelets were pretty flimsy and often had no markings. Ofrei might have new end links

New to this a bit, but the omega logo looks a bit off as far a shape. I have a 1039 from 1970 that is indeed kind on flimsy, especially when compared to modern bracelets. I’d try to compare some of the details, like the logo, depth of the stamping on the clasp, with photos of known genuine ones.

Doesn't it say Made In Mexico in Spanish on it? I don't believe Omega ever made bracelets in Mexico, I may be wrong but that looks odd.
