The brand's modern concept timepieces are inspired by iconic retro styles, born out of motor culture. Roue combines elements of classic cars, Scandinavian interior and German industrial design and articulates them together into handsome, affordable watches.

Founded in 2017, Roue, (which translates into "wheel" in French,) emerged after founder Alex began designing his own furniture and timepieces. His passion for design evolved from his grandfather's taste for the finer things in life and his father's fascination with classic cars. Their obsessions cultivated his own appreciation for innovative design and led him to take part in the creative process himself.

Roue is where artistry meets function. The people behind Roue believe in well-crafted watches which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also versatile and highly wearable. Roue watches are assembled using high-grade parts and quality materials which undergo a skilled manufacturing process.

Cases are constructed from 316L blasted stainless steel with brushed finish, and all Roue Watches feature sapphire crystal. Fun like a Swatch, multi-colorways grace the collections which pay homage to automotive racing watch designs of the '60s and '70s - think Omega Speedmaster Mk 4.5, Heuer Montreal, Lemania and others. Moreover, all Roue watches are powered by a trusty and reliable Japanese movement from Miyota or Seiko and are water resistant to 5 ATM (50 meters). All watches come with two interchangeable straps, which fit on all Roue watches more maximum versatility.

CHR Series with Two Straps: Rally Leather + Silicone

First up, the CHR series honors the chronograph's connection to motor-racing, taking its cue from the 1970s. Its clean modern lines and effortless legibility are evocative of classic chronograph designs.

The CHR is bold in its simplicity. The center hand displays seconds, the top sub-dial displays time in 1/20 seconds and the left sub-dial counts minutes. Cases measure 41.5mm and come in silver color or black PVD. The movement is a Miyota Quartz. Three versions are available (black, white or graphite dial) with RRP value of $260 (shipping included).

SSD Series with Two Straps: Rally Leather + Nylon Front, Leather Back

Next in line, the SSD series. The stunning seconds' sub-dial display honors 1960s style, a simpler era which produced timeless sophisticated designs. Its architecture takes inspiration from the best hand stopwatches from that era - note the Grand Prix style bezel, common in racing watches from that time period. A pop of yellow within the dial allows it to take center stage, with the seconds sub-dial located at 6 o'clock. Three color choices are on offer: black PVD case with black dial and black band, black PVD case with a graphite dial and black band, and a silver case with graphite dial and black or silver band. All three versions come with a perforated leather rally strap + nylon front/leather back band, which black in the PVD and silver in the silver. A Seiko Quartz movement beats at the heart of the SSD, with a retail value of $195 (shipping included).

HDS Collection with Two Straps: Silicone + Nylon Front, Leather Back

The HDS collection is inspired by 1980s iconic German industrial designer, Dieter Rams. German minimalism is in the details, with the HDS' bold oversized outer minutes ring surrounding two separate hour tracks (Arabic numerals and line markers). The 2-layered dial works to offer precision.

The hour and minute hands are tapered with their curved edges, creating liveliness on the dial. The gasket yellow is echoed though the dial emblem and seconds hand. Again, a Japanese Miyota Quartz movement powers the watch. You can get your hands on one of two versions for only $170 (shipping included).

CAL Collection with Two Straps: Silicone + Nylon Front, Leather Back

Last but not least, the CAL collection celebrates the modernism era; the 1930s which saw the birth of Bauhaus. It sits comfortably on the wrist and is ready for everyday wear. The dial is precise, with the date window sitting neatly at 6 o'clock. The case, as with all Roue watches, measures 41.5 mm in diameter. The Miyota Quartz is the choice of movement for this Roue watch as well. Four different pieces are available within the series, costing $170 each (shipping included).

As with all timepieces, two bands are included with each sale, sports silicone and leather, which are easily swappable using the easy click system.
