Not really a dive watch enthusiast but I believe Seiko's SBCM023 8F35-00A0 is one of the better choices in the modern vintage realm:
It came to mind since I finally put a generic diver compatible bracelet on it (it didn't come with one when I acquired it). The lugs are drilled through so the bracelet lug adaptors needed to handle the larger spring bars.
All good if you like it. I think the Certina's have nicer straps, cases, and are a little easier to service for me if I ever need it. Price difference is pretty small and most importantly to me they have a date.
But just me, we all like different things, and it's a nice COSC diver, enjoy.
