Hi WUS,
I need your help in suggesting a final piece in my self imposed 4 watch collection (which excludes beaters/hierloom watches).

I planning for a watch that compliments the above collection with certain requirements:
Preferably on leather strap
Exhibition caseback with a well decorated movement
Not a brand I already own
Some form of complication but no day/date
42mm or smaller
Made in Germany though I am open to other options

Your thoughts will be appreciated :)

While looking at your pic I already thought about Nomos, after reading I was sure. A Tangomat perhaps? Might be a bit too small though.

Any budget in mind?

How about Dornbluth & Sohn?

You don't have a dive watch. A Blancpain Fifty Fathoms would look great in that collection (although its larger than 42mm)!

You could add a diver if that appeals to you, but of course this would not typically be worn in a leather strap. You might consider the Glashütte Original Sport Evolution, which meets all your other criteria, and could be outfitted with a strap if that's important to you.

Or you could opt for another of the GO pieces, like the above-mentioned Panomatic Lunar.

Or some very nice things from Nomos.

Have you ever looked at a SCHAUMBURG ?
Perhaps their Uniktorium or Blue Ice models.
Everyone should see them.

I know, I know :-d

Thanks for the suggestions so far, im leaning towards the GO Panolunar/Nomos Tangomat.

A friend of mine suggested a Habring2 Doppel 2.0, any opinions on this?

The Habring 2 Doppel is a solid suggestion but unless you go preowned you would have to go for the Doppel 3 I think.

I agree you need a diver. You have Omega, so no PO. I'd go with the BPFF
or the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver

It's 44mm though

Otherwise, Panerai 392 is the answer

Anything from Glashutte Original, especially the PanoMatic Lunar.

Habring do really solid watches but I'm not sure who are the ADs here though?
Anyway, these are the few German brands I personally feel will be worth the check up:

Laco
Archimede
Stowa
Damasko
Sinn
Tutima
Muhle Glashutte
Nomos Glashutte
Dornbluth & Sohn
Glashutte Original
A.Lange & Sohne

You didn't state any budget so I've listed you a whole list spanning across any possible range!

This meets almost none of your requirements, but I think it would fit nicely into your collection anyway: Seiko MM300.
