Yes, I had to see what all the positive mentions were for this model, so after a couple years of seeing all the post and good tokens for this watch I finally scored a new example.

Sorry about not having any pics to upload, I'm still away for the extended Holiday season & I'm long over due to return back home, but saw a New Orange Monster with bracelet & scored it after a few days of thinking should I, or shouldn't I.

I have to say this is one very heavy duty and well structured Tool diver, the Orange dial is as nice as any Orange diled diver I've had and she keeps to with-in 07 seconds in 36 hrs of timing & after being into these Seiko divers since 1980, thats darn good regulation and accuracy indeed. The bracelet is a true work of artisty! ;-)

I just had to stop in & join the club & will be back in a few days with some more deatiled views and pics.

Yes you should, if your mulling this same decission over!!! :p

Thanks,
Jim

You mean you only just tried out the Monster now Jim??? I assumed some time over the last 10 or so years you would have given one a run. Astounding! Glad to hear you like it. It was either that, or hate it the moment you took it out the box! :-d

How about a SOTC post, eh Jimmy???

Hey man, good to see you & hope your Holidays were Happy and Bright! ;-)

lol, Yep the Collection is near completion...STILL LOOKING FOR THAT 1 GRAIL DIVER TO END THIS SEARCH OF MADNESS...haha, hope that day never comes!

It's a fine watch and one that is perfect in all ways, bezel is perfectly lined up, the case & crystal is awesome & the time keeping is now +5 seconds in almsot 72 hours of running! :-!

I got a good one I think & I cant believe I waited so long...The watch looks better in person and on the wrist, than in detailed photographic form IMO.

Best regards 2BATTRANGER,
now I'm on the hunt for a black dialed Monster & where I stop is anyones guess? Blue/Yellow/Red LE's I just don't know, but it's looking good so far :p

lol, yeah JR I only just now finally got the stones to go & buy a Monster

and you my friend were a large part of the reason for that purchase!

I have to now thank you for that as well. ;-)

I read all the hype for years, but in pics the watch never spoke to me eventhough I read all the threads and all the good stuff and some of the minor issues. Well another old friend of mine who loves my Spainish Sunken Treasure Lore XX & your appreciation threads of this watch and the untimely loss of your beloved Monster all weighed on me for some time...

Months it weighed on me infact...

I saw a BN Orange Monster down here while away on my extended tour for the Holidays and put her on my wrist!

lol when I did that; thats all she wrote & I knew that I had to buy this watch and couldn't believe how much quality it displayed to me for such a reasonable price I payed.
:p

For sure, an (SOTC) post will be in the works and will air on this same channel in the near future, when I return back home...

Yeah, it's a wonder for many years I never scored one of these Monsters until now, since I was into my 6309's and the JDM 6306 divers along with the Tunas; but I am very glad that I finally came around to the Monster.

Thanks mate,
Jim

Glad you like it and congrats, I always thought the monsters are very ugly. Slowly it had grown on me, still don't like the OM.

Nice score Jim, I like the no nonsense look of the monsters.
Unfortunately it's just too bulky for my skinny wrists, I'll stick to the SKX models.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks Richard!...Been a long time in the making

and the watch is all that has been said of it for sure.

Too bad it's alittle bulky for you, as they do have a thick beefy case. There's nothing wrong with the nice models in the SKX line, I have a couple and wear them equally on a regular basis & enjoy all they offer.

lol, I still have & proclaim my 6306 & 6309 divers to be the best Dive watch'es ever made though! :-!

Cheers, & Thanks,
Jim

Ive had my OM now since friday of last week. Bought it new off ebay from a dealer in Singapore. Arrived to Canada in 4 days!!!! I was really surprised by how heavy it was, feels solid. It hasnt left my wrist since, except for work where something a little more elegant is required...overall this is a great watch and i was reading in some magazine today that its considered the 2nd best Japanese watch to come from the Japanese companies (Orient, Seiko, Citizen, etc) being only bested by a quartz Casino pathfinder. If you dont like the looks right away it should grow on you. I bought a Meistersinger around the same time that I bought the Seiko and I can honestly say that the OM is certainly getting more of my attention for a fraction of the price

Hey thanks, Jimmy. All the best to you too.

Unfortunately Noah's still in hospital with lots of complications. He's been there since early Dec, and not sure when he'll come out. Shoot me an email or a pm sometime.
