I came very close to putting my Orient Professional 300M Diver up for sale. Got this one about a year and a half ago.
As I looked around for my next high end diver (I've owned them all - Rolex, Omega, Eterna. Etc) Then it hit me - how much I dig this watch.
The size / weight / bezel / power reserve feature / hands / crown at 4 / bracelet / diver's extention / lume / everything.
If I was going to design my perfect Dive watch - this would be it.
The only minor negitive is not having hand wind or hacking but I wear it ever other day so I never get close to losing power. I also check the time againt my G-Shock Atomic GW-3000B - it gains 3-5 seconds a day when I wear it and looses 3-5 seconds a day when it sits crown up so once it's set it stays pretty much dead on.
For 20 years I've always had one very nice all steel - basic dive watch in the rotation - always. Maybe 15 diffent ones but all black face - all steel.
I'm going to be keeping this watch - somrtimes perfection is right in front of us!
