Fortis Flieger
I just wanted to share some good news that only you guys will appreciate:
My house was burgled about a year ago and not much was taken as I think the robbers were kids or got scared and ran off. Anyway, other than my old iPhone, the only thing I noticed missing was my Fortis Flieger 24h. I was devastated since this watch has probably the clearest dial of a purist watch out there, a nice bracelet and all for very reasonable money ($500). Since they are long discontinued, I had no hope of finding another even though I looked everywhere. All I could find were the PVD models which were demanding silly money and without a bracelet. I resigned myself to the loss and carried on with life.
This morning, I was getting ready for work and there it was sitting in my drawer! I quickly grabbed it and asked my wife where it came from and she had found it in an old suitcase of mine that she had used last weekend. I'm so happy to be reunited with this truly lovely watch!
