Hello all,
I decided to take the plunge and buy a few more modern Raketas, these are both Mechanical 2609.HA movements. First up is the Winter Olympics edition of their "Big Zero" dial named "Raketa for Sochi". The second is the Pilot with the 12 hour dial.
first impressions are good. Whomever they source their glass from is pretty amazing, compared to my Petrodvorets Classic, these two are using extremely nice mineral glass, it almost looks like sapphire to the untrained eye, very very clear. Sochi watch is fine but hard to set using poor mans hack, requires almost 50 full winds to get going from zero, whew! Pilot watch is impressive, subtle lume on the dial, very accurate second hand, easy to set, runs currently only -1 second behind Tycho, whereas the Sochi watch is currently running +2 after both being extremely precisely set.
