Like the looks of this but not familiar with them. Seems like the price may be a tad high but would love a 2nd (or 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc) opinion. Any alternatives that you’re recommend instead? Looking for a chocolate brown or black dial with gold or rose gold hands with good contrast compared to the dial.

OK, but I'm one of those ones that don't like white date wheels on colored dials, and it is in a price range where there are a LOT of alternatives, both name brand and micro--if I were considering Fromanteel, I think I would go Vaupas (Veli) instead--nice looking, a bit cheaper, more in line with a no-namer.

Interesting... I browsed their site a week or two ago. The only issue is that I like case diameter of 40mm or larger. I have one 39.5mm but it really tests my patience :)

That's an attractive dress watch and I don't think the price is way out of line.

There are other good/cheaper Grand Seiko options if you continue to shop.

I too am not a fan of white date wheels on colored dials. It just takes away from the finish of the watch, especially in that price range, IMHO.

I think the color scheme of the hands/dial on a ss case is what I’m after, so if you have other suggestions I’ll take a look.

I have a GS and totally love it, would love another, but other designs don’t appeal to me except the one that’s over budget for at least a year or more.

About the color of the date vs dial, I tend to agree but in this case I didn’t notice it until you all spoke up about it, which probably means it didn’t strike me as a problem on this watch. Not a big issue for me.

Sure, look at this for a mere pittance:
