SOLD Thanks WUS I just purchased a couple new ones so this is ready for a new home. Angular Momentum Axis III, decorated hand wound ETA/Unitas 6498-2 17 Jewel movement with curved 3mm Sapphire crystal, Sapphire display back, black lacquer face and 42mm SS case.

Signature Angular Momentum rotating disk hour hand, sweep minute hand and very cool rotating seconds disk at 6 o'clock. I find this AM easier to read than many of their designs because the XII notation looks to the eye like an hour hand. It wears its 42mm size very well with a wide clean face.

This 6498 is quite accurate, to within a few seconds/day and it's decoration is well displayed through the back crystal.

Condition is excellent, there is one shallow scratch on the lower left lug as shown in the picture. Otherwise without flaws.

Asking $500 shipped on its newish DiModell Alligator or $450 with just the calf band (not OEM).

Thanks for taking a look.

Here is a nice article on the Axis III http://www.worldwatchreview.com/2012/07/08/angular-momentum-axis-iii-handwinder/
