Introducing the new lineup from Le Jour - Le Mans Chronograph 008. Powered by the extremely popular Swiss-made ETA 7750 mechanical chronograph caliber and beating at 28,800 BPH (4 Hz), the heart of the watch sits in a refined 42mm stainless steel case that flaunts a mix of satin brush finish with chamfered shiny polished edges. Topped by an anti-reflective coated domed sapphire crystal, the all-black dial is aesthetically pleasing and certainly a classic choice of color.
No chronograph is complete without sub-dials. Three black colored, vinyl disc-textured sub-dials dominate most of the dial - 12-hour counter at 6, small seconds at 9, and 30-minute counter at 12. Sweeping across the entire dial face is the central chronograph seconds with an arrow tipped hand. Moving to the right side of the dial is the day/date window. Time legibility is not compromised with a handful of Super-LumiNova C3 lume compound applied to the baton-shaped hour indices as well as the hour and minute hands.
Surrounding the watch face is a non-rotational matte black bezel with tachymeter scale inscribed on it. With a water resistance of 200 meters, one may rest assured that the push buttons and the signed crown are screw locked to prevent any water ingression. Flip the watch over and that reveals the most astonishing part of this timepiece. As the name of the watch implies, the depiction of the race car pitstop is beautifully stamped on the case back. The stainless steel Jubilee style bracelet is no joke either, with solid links held together by push pins and the double-fold deployant clasp, this nostalgic and yet highly versatile chronograph timepiece will definitely add great values to one's watch collection.
