FS: Orange U.S. Divers Aqua Lung dive watch issued by DOXA circa 1980 with BOR bracelet - SOLD

From the depths of my personal dive watch collection comes this beautiful, professionally-serviced vintage dive watch with significant heritage in the sport of diving. This orange face Aqua Lung for U.S. Divers was produced by DOXA in the late '70s/early '80s. Features of this professional quartz dive watch include an unsigned crown at the 4 o'clock position, unsigned caseback, a vintage individual BOR Beads of Rice bracelet and a Synchron-signed clasp, all in good condition. The BOR Bracelet features two Expandro expansion links with tight springs and clasp with sliding ratchet wet suit extension. See additional photos - fits up to 8+ inch wrist.

Received as a gift some 25 years ago from a long-time Scripps IO scuba instructor, it sat untouched in the bottom of my watch box for many years, having been received in inoperative condition. This unique dive watch eventually received a "sympathetic" restoration with renewed lume on the hands only, cleanup and movement servicing by Jack Alexyon at IWW October 2015.

The case and bezel remain in original, unpolished condition showing the character of many years of service. The original orange dial features the iconic U.S. Divers double hose air tank logo. Crystal is in good used condition with light scratches. While this highly collectable diver watch is complete, lume is weak. It is not intended or recommended for underwater use.
