This is an EU sale, watch is in The Netherlands and shipment included in the price is within the EU.

Now for some of that 70s funkiness:
This is an Omega Speedmaster automatic calibre 1045 (based on Lemania 5100) from 1976. There were a number of models introduced in the mid 70s using this calibre. You can find more info about this family of chronographs in the excellent Chuck Maddox’s articles on the subject.

The c1045 is a very robust, excellent performer chronograph movement. Of special interest is the central minutes chrono hand, that makes measuring elapsed time a lot easier than on a 30min subdial.

The reference is ST176.0014, of which there are two dial and two bracelet versions. This one has the more interesting sunburst dial finish and the bar bracelet (similar to the Speedmaster 125). The 0014 is one of the least commonly seen and it is known as the TV-dial for obvious reasons.

I’ve had this watch since 1980 and wore it regularly for a number of years and then put it in storage. It was completely restored by the Omega Vintage Restoration guys in Bienne in 2006 (I have the paperwork) and has been pretty much unworn since then. The restoration included a bracelet re-tightening to factory standards, so no stretch, and two new links were added (now sized for 7.5” wrist and one spare link still in the box). The dial is the original tritium one and it’s in perfect condition. The hands were replaced with correct luminova service ones as part of the restoration, but I can provide the original hands that are also in perfect condition. Crystal was also replaced with a correct one and is flawless.

Cosmetically it’s almost as-new. I doubt you will find any better example of this watch floating around.

Watch is performing perfectly, with all the time keeping and chronograph functions in full operation.

If you’re a Speedmaster collector and can appreciate the 70s aura of these rather unusual chronographs, then this is a watch for you.

The few chronos of this generation that eventually pop up for sale are usually in pretty poor condition. This one is a collector’s grade / time machine example.

I will let the pictures do the talking. The watch will be delivered in a more recent Omega Speedmaster box.

Asking 2700 euros, Paypal fees and insured delivery within EU included.

Feel free to PM me any questions.
