Hi guys,

This is my second FS offer here, a great and interesting German Pilots watch from the WWII era.
The watch shows wear, chrome pitting but no humidity or water damage.
The timepiece itself is a magnificent piece and at 42mm a really really large one for the period, it has all original parts and has not been restored or polished and in my opinion should not be touched but left as is.
Helvetias with original bulging flat glass and dials in such condition are rare sight today as unfortunately people removed radium paint, re-did the illumination and changed glass throughout the years...
There is some radium paint missing on the hands, i would recommend against having those painted as I doubt you can match and age paint as the radium paint ages.
The rotational bezel still works and the body features a double cover and fixed strap lugs. On the mechanical side of things everything is excellent and fully wound it keeps good time for around 48hrs...
Opinion of my watchmaker regarding the wear to the back of the watch is that it might have been "defaced" and had the military serials scratched away, I don't know for sure but it did come from a family whose
grandparents and parents served with the Axis in the WWII so it can be held as plausible.
Serials : 4026821 for the case
1419 for the movement (earliest serial I've found so far with the WWII Helvetias)

The video of the watch in question can be found here ( 1080p is available and full res images will be provided per request, as I'm new here I'll humor other request as specific hand positions etc etc;-) ).

Price I'm asking : 1350$ + shipping and insurance included, i can accept PayPal and Wire for international buyers.
As I'm in Germany till the rest of the month we can do the transaction face to face in Germany, Austria and Northern Italy. I'll provide more information about the watch and myself (my feedback on photography and militaria forums) per request.

++ The watch will come on a bund strap custom made for this helvetia, interesting part is that the leather is sourced from an old ammo leather bag of the german army so that you get a complete look and feel of a WWII timepiece ++

Thanks for taking a peek!

Bump, I'm looking for a quick sale so I might bend your way for the price more than expected. I am paypal verified and can provide multiple positive feedback on photography forums.
