A rare and extremely beautiful Heuer Autavia ref. 2446C, a much sought after version of the famous chronograph, only made from 1968-1971. Heuer introduced the Autavia wristwatch collection in 1962 and it was produced until to 1986. The dashboard timers with the same name were produced from 1933 to 1958. The name "Autavia" is derived from the words Automobile and Aviation. This name was indicative of the purpose these chronographs were intended for. The Autavia 2446 manual chronograph was introduced in the late 60's and several variations were made with differences in cases, dials, pushers and hands. This particular 2446C was launched in 1968 with the slightly larger 40mm, instead of 38.8mm, compressor case that is a snapback instead of the screw-back case. It was still fitted with the reliable workhorse 3-counter Valjoux 72 column-wheel chronograph movement.

I've sold quite a few watches on the forum and also have 100% positive feedback on Ebay with the same username. Asking $10,749 shipped CONUS. Thanks for looking and questions welcomed.
