Selling another of my beloved watches that I just don't wear much anymore - this beautiful Rolex 16233 Datejust with 36mm case and 3135 caliber movement. What makes this Datejust unusual? The DIAL! It is a white 'Porcelain' dial with baton markers that Rolex made in the early 1990's. It is different from other white dials that are more 'matte' finish - the lacquer that Rolex used on the porcelain dials was very thick, very shiny and just screams CLASS! The dial is mint with no marks, nicks or crazing. The 36mm case is in excellent condition and retains the original chamfers - there are a couple of 'flea bites' on top of the 1 o'clock lug for full disclosure. I have NOT attempted to address this but they are very minor. The 12 link 78363-18 factory Oyster bracelet has a date code of R-12; notating it was produced in Dec. 1993 which matches the serial number of the watch: X396,XXX. The endpieces are marked 458B. Bracelet is in excellent condition and has very little stretch. There are no nicks or deep scratches and the clasp closes tight. The coronet on the clasp is full. The sapphire crystal is in excellent condition (no scratches) but under a loupe there are minor abrasions between the 6 and 7 markers - not seen with the naked eye. The 18K fluted bezel is still very sharp and unpolished. I have numerous references on WUS and I have been active on most watch forums since the late 1990's. You can email me at: [email protected] or PM here on WUS and I will get back to you promptly. $5,995 will get you this lovely Porcelain dial Datejust with no issues. It is running within COSC parameters and has a good power reserve. I accept wire transfers or PayPal plus fees. Shipping to be at cost. Sale is for the watch only as there are no boxes and/or papers. 3-day return privilege if watch is not 100% genuine Rolex.
