For Sale is a 27 Jewel SEIKO Bell-Matic reference #4006-7010 day/date Sunburst Charcoal Dial
The SEIKO Bell-Matic is a very cool retro/vintage automatic winding alarm wristwatch; the serial # dates this watch to December 1968. The watch is in working order and running strongly, keeping time within +/- 2 minutes a week, pretty good for a 45 year old watch. The alarm sets and rings as it should.
To the best of my knowledge all parts are original, the previous owner states that the watch was serviced in January of this year, but I have only his word and a signed paper to go by. The case is in good shape except for light scratching it has more than likely been polished, the dial has some fading on the markers and the hour hand needs to be relumed, but it is a gorgeous sunburst charcoal color. The dial lume is present but very weak at best. The domed acrylic crystal is in good shape as you can see in the photos. TZ 85%.
Be aware that the lug size on this model is 19MM. (Note: 20MM NATO straps fit perfectly)
The 27 Jewel 4006-7010 movement is automatic winding with no hacking or hand winding, the crown in 1[SUP]st[/SUP] position winds the alarm bell, 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] position sets the alarm time, 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] position sets the time. The button above the crown turns the alarm on (pulled out) and off (pushed in). When you push the button all the way in it is the quick set date. AFAIK the day can only be set by turning the hands (someone may know differently).
Will accept $165 USD NOW $125, I will take care of PayPal fees and I will pay shipping to CONUS. No international buyers please.
PM me with any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking.
