I recently bought my first G-Shock GWM 5610-1 and put some Jays and Kay’s adapters on it and a 24mm strap and I am really enjoying the watch. I noticed our local Walmart has a few Casio watches on clearance however you cannot buy them because their jewelry counter is closed. The 2 that caught my attention are the G9000 1V and the G2310 R1 both for $19.99. I may pick up both but I was wondering which was the better watch? I will be putting a nylon strap on whichever watch I buy and looked at Jays and Kay’s adapters and contacted them to find out which adapters would work the G9000 takes there more expensive adapters for $29.99. I do like that the 2310 is solar power. Any thoughts on which watch is better?

Thanks

I would vote for the 2310.... Don't like the G-9000 much as it non solar powered and the bumps on the back of it are somewhat uncomfortable... The G-2310 packs more features like ( the data memory )... I find the display layout better than the 9000....

get both

2300 is better, but 9000 is MASTER of Gshock, whereas 2300 is just a gshock - for work, I rather wear the 9000 since it is less bulky and tougher

if one buys the adapters that are more expensive than the cost of a gshock, then, he has some issues - I always use the stock/gshock adapters

Standard Casio adapters don't work on the G-9000, because of the strange lug design.

Thanks. and I agree about the cost of the adapters, but I can't wear the stock strap, I can either wear a nylon or stainless bracelet. If they are both available I am going to pick them both up and decide later. I believe the 2310 uses the stock adapters so I can try those out now.
