The launch price, is that definite?

Reason I ask is that it would be mirroring the GBD-H1000 pricing. Which mind you is a great thing considering how every new iteration of a smart device nearly always increases at launch.

 

Back in May 2020 was when they launched the GBD-H1000.

They also launched at that time the GBD-100 . Any talk about at GBD-200/GBD-H2000 dual launch?

 

The GBD-200 has already been launched. Maybe there would be a GBD-300 down the road?

 

Don't believe the mentioned price, 399 would be a-ma-zing-ly cheap. Especially compared to what other, way less functional models, cost.

I would estimate at least 200 more, and then still.

 

What the difference?
I assume product page exists but currently locked on Casio website (it appears as preview on Google but gives error).
It looks about same and considering it's Casio i would assume it is mostly same.

it is a big NO for me. i got the gbdh1000 and i realised this watch is made for sporty people who run and do activities and such... it definitely wasnt for me..

 

your car has a redline and top speed, doesnt mean you have to use either of those just like the frogman was made for diving, doesnt mean you cant wear it when youre not diving 😉

 

I like that yellow strap…won’t be me, I already have the GBD200UU, but nice nonetheless

If these actually end up having sunrise / sunset and moon phase, these are basically the next gen rangeman in everything but appearance.

If GPS TTFF is significantly faster and the HRM accuracy is improved over the GBD-H1000, it would be hard for me not to upgrade...even with the plastic caseback...

 

If Casio really upgrades platform you can expect fluid operation and far better battery life too. Will see soon. I said it about 1000 model. It like Rangebeast just cheaper and with more useful features like fitness tracking.

 

Probably we have to wait for owner reviews to compare GPS acquisition time

It supports GPS, QZSS, Galileo, Beidou, GLONASS (GBD-H1000 supports GPS, QZSS, GLONASS)

It supports L1+L5 signals. (Is it the first G-Shock to support dual-frequency GPS? I don't know, maybe someone can answer)

 

I think it is the first G-Shock to have such GPS technology.

 

The biggest question of this watch -

will it have an hourly chime ?
Haha kinda kidding but also - kinda not. A lot of these newer high tec watches coming out from Casio do not have the hourly time signal anymore for some reason.

 

I agree. The MIP watches skimp out on it.

interesting specs for the price. battery life is kind of a let down., but i’m still going to checkout reviews of this one before purchasing

 

It is dual GPS chip but unlike Garmin it uses either one or another and not both to compensate for signal loss. At least according to Casio. There is frequency of acquisition setting which is good. 14 hr with GPS continuous is not impressive though and similar to previous model. so probably not a new CPU on board.
There is may be new HR sensor with O2 data (like previous model) and sleep tracking. Could be only software update could be new sensor. Proper pictures of the back will reveal truth.

Personally i would not be dreaming about sleeping with such big watch on my wrist but adding sleep tracking and recovery data which i assume is some kind of Garmin Body Battery equivalent is a good addition. Which is software feature and not hardware related.

Over all it seem to have better fitness tracking and truly worthy of new model status GPS/functionality update.

Sleep tracking requires certain amount of watch functionality to work non stop. On some smartwatches (don't remember which) after introduction via update it got battery life down by 25-30%.

 

The Japan price is ¥57000, the EU price was set I believe at €499 or maybe was it €399 🤷🏻‍♂️
$399 sounds like good, cheap price

That app has been out since last year.

 

Something isn't right here. First are dimensions of the 2000 bottom is the 1000 but on the last photo it just doesn't seem to be correct. Or the photo is done on a strange way or the details are incorrect on Casio web 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think the the H2000 is placed farther back than the H1000 in the photo so it appears smaller. That retail price is way up there for that kind of watch. It's already looking bad for this one.

 

The charge cable uses a spring-loaded clamp device to achieve a good connection.

A certain poster predicted this mechanism, and it will be used for the DW-h5600 also

 

It looks like it would be the culprit in damaging the glass or bezel.

haha too many variables to make a call like this. the app display could simply be superimposed and the date was when they created the video of the functions. clothing means nothing, plenty of shoots take place in off seasons but are made to look like diff seasons. whole tv shows are set in summer but filmed in winter or they couldve simply had the footage filmed in a summer looking country, plenty of ways to fool the viewer.

the gbdh1 has gps sync without the phone which is why ive always said it was an upgrade of the 9400 ie. an ABC watch with gps sync and step tracker (and bonus hrm and some fitness stuff). ppl just get stuck on the clumsy mb6 for some reason

Yes, you can use the watch without linking it to the phone. As for MB6, it's becoming a thing of the past.
