I just received this vintage gold Poljot from Poland. Price was about the going rate for 15g of 14K gold, so basically I got the watch for free. I like very much the design of the dial and hands:

Cheers!

Dear Abazz,
A year ago I have seen for sale this watch at a pawn house. They were asking -if I remember well- 500 USD for this! far away from my 'pocket dynamics'
Was it a realy exaggerated price as i believe??
True, the watch is very beautiful!

I have just paid USD 757 for a similar one.
20 times what Ill-phil pays i bet.
Reason?
I wanted it.

On the other hand I would never ever pay one tenth of asking price for a Rolex or Breitling.

Mine (item 250413177327) was 1,200 Poland Zlotych -- about $370 -- and I was surprised to find it in such a good shape. One or two indexes show a very limited amount of corrosion, but this is not visible to the naked eye. Otherwise, the watchcase, dial and hands are perfect. I love this watch!

Cheers!

Your new watch looks great Abbazz :-! - these simple, clean-looking dials really are attractive.

How much more interesting and stylish it is to wear something like this rather than, say, simply walking into a shop and buying the latest Tag or Oris or whatever. Nothing against Tag or Oris - I own an Oris myself which I'm very happy with - but you could buy 3 or 4 of these Russians for the price, and the Russians have so much more character. I love their history too.....
