Whoever decided on doing a blue ceramic moonphase instead of a black one should be banned from the watch industry for life.

 

I think you're right if we are talking about the case- this bothers me as well.
But the dial I think works nice in blue with the white/grey ceramic Moonphase

 

Really depends on the rest of your collection? Missing a blue piece? Get the blue one!

 

I would say Dark Side instead, honestly!

But still from the Gray or the Blue- I'd say Gray is a better bet. The blue is nice, but there is too much blue and I think I'd get tired of it.

 

I already have a PO 8900 in blue and AT 8900 blue....
Can you see a trend here?

But seriously the important elements are:
1) Ceramic case
2)Complications

So for versatility the GSOM wins
For complication the BSOM wins

GSOTM! The blue is way too much. I have the blue moonphase In stainless and love it but the blue ceramic is too much for me

(Go grey. I like the moonphase in the blue. But the small retrograde date seems useless and the blue case is just too much.)

 

I find both to be embarrassing and idiotic.
This obsession with limited editions is going nuts.

I like the original Dark Side most. The Grey side is a very close second. I wish they (Omega) had stopped there.

I tried a Steel Blue Moonphase today at Omega Boutique.
The rotor was quite noisy.
I thought the new movement 9904 was supposed to be bi-directional winding and avoid rotor wobble...

 

Even though I'm a sucker for blue watches (especially Omega's shade of blue), I'd have to go for the Grey Side Of The Moon. In my opinion, the blue case is juuuuust a little tad too much for my liking (same reason I dislike the Big Blue POs). the grey case is a little more balanced; I would be hard pressed to decide between Grey and Dark side even.. so my blabla aside, GREY

 

I didnt realise then even did a blue ceramic speedy. Out of all these versions the bit that irks me is the ....side of the moon. Its just stupid. Its like naming each variation of the Planet ocean. Theres a new thread idea by the way. Shallow part of the ocean (light blue case). Having said that, I actually like the blue version in your post. Its certainly going against the grain which is always better in my eyes. Who wants to walk into anywhere and spot the same watch on someone else (shudders). Ive seen a few GSOM around but the blue is a first.

 

GSOTM easily, blue looks okay, but I just don't like Moonphase watches anyway.

 

I would pick the GSOTM without a second though. But what I would pick is pretty irrelevant. It's not like one watch is the best while the other is trash, so it really comes down to what you like. You sound like you love the blue, so go for the blue. If you have concerns about whether or not you'll love it down the road, then give yourself a month or two before buying to make sure you're really sold on it.

Voted grey though the blue/steel wouldn’t get my vote
Adore the moonphase just not sold Inn colored ceramic.

 

My favourite is the original silver with black dial colour scheme but the grey is 2nd place.

 

Grey side and throw it on a tan/brown strap. One of the forum members did this and it looks sweet.

 

GSOTM. Normally I would choose blue as I like blue dials but that blue ceramic case is too much.

Save some quid and buy the Steel Blue Moonphase. ;-)

 

Blue is a little too much, the Grey has nicer contrast
