I have also had a problem with the CTL1616 battery not holding a charge.
When I removed the backplate I displaced one of the four tiny springs that contact the backplate.
Can anyone provide a location diagram/photo of the spring locations?
Also the AC reset diagram on the sticker is very vague, which hole is AC?
Mine is a GW-300 2608

Thanks

Hi Hydro,

I did open GW-300 also, the contact-springs are the same with MTG-900:
One Longest spring contacts throughout the front solar panel to the back for ground-charging.
One Shorter spring touchs the ceramic speaker for alarm signal.
One Shorter spring touchs the back again for speaker-ground.

Just in case of lost, you can use the spring inside the "spring-pin" that hold the leather band and the watch-lug. (use 16mm for small spring) to substitute.
The "diagram" could be found by the scratches those made by the springs inside the back-case.

Any hole around label AC could be used (they are the same trace)

Mr. Eckell,
The photos in the link are very helpful. Thank you. You have to love the internet.
My watch also has a fourth spring.
If you look at the photo that shows the white plastic back with the springs in place... the fourth is in the hole right above the back cover screw hole in the lower right corner. Since it the location is out side the gasket ring, it was quite full of dirt and debris. (My watch plays hard.) Is this normal?

Thank you.
Your description of the spring sizes was helpful. With your descriptions and Mr. Eckells photo link, I am back in business.
