Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I need your opinion.

Is the strap on GW-M5610U upgraded or feel more comfortable / softer than the non U models? I can't make up my mind when choosing between GW-5000U and GW-M5610. I love the idea and the overall quality of GW-5000U but honestly prefer the face of GW-M5610U. Can't resist that red lining and a bit of busy-ness on the watch face is appealing to me. Feature-wise they are exactly the same, so the defining factor would be the resin quality. If the GW-M5610U straps feels better than the previous version, I think I might go with the 5610U instead of 5000U. I really need your opinion on this one. Thanks!!!

5000 and 5000U have super comfortable and soft straps. M5610 and M5610U have similar straps and are not so soft as in 5k or 5kU. 5k/5kU straps fits perfectly to M5610/M5610U, so you can select the watch you like and then invest just the replacement strap of 5k/5kU; win-win 👍

I agree with TTV, if you like the looks of the 5610U but want a softer comfortable strap (the 5610/5610u straps are not as comfortable as the 500 strap), then buy the 5610U and buy a GW-5000 strap. this will give you the watch you want and will be much cheaper. Also the GW-5000 straps are a bit longer so if you a bigger wrist, this strap will fit better then the 5610 strap

you have any or just read of what people said in here?
comfort-ability is subjective - yes, the GW-5000 strap is better, but to me it is not to the level of going goo goo gaa gaa over it
want to feel most comfortable ? how about not wearing anything !
many guys who brags about the GW-5000 strap don't mind wearing their new bracelet GWMB-5000 for weeks which is way heavier and much more "unpleasant"

if you have the GWM-5610 then it is time for the GW-5000, likewise...
if you have both and want to have a module upgraded, then, it is not worth it

my advice is buy what you like and mod it to your real life usage, preference, and have fun doing so ....

the GW-5000 is just witness to the real king DW-5000

lolz

Speaking of square G's, yes the GW-M5610U or GW-5000U would be my first. My first G was a GA-100MRB. The strap on that watch, is noticeably softer and more flexible than on regular GA-100s. I really like the fit and feel of the watch. Bought it around 4-5 years ago. I think this year is the time for a new G and I'm looking really closely to these two square models :)

I had them both, still own the 5610. The 5610 is so light you almost won't feel it's presence. Therefore I think a softer strap won't make a very big difference. The 5000 makes good use of the more comfy strap because it has much more weight and won't forget as easily you are wearing a watch.
