Hamilton Khaki Field Stopped

I am looking for some opinions on this. Last Sunday, I wore my Khaki Field Mechanical (with the 80 hour power reserve movement). I fully wound it in the morning; around 5:00PM, the watch stopped. It took me two hours to notice. I turned the crown not even a full turn - just a couple of clicks - and it started going again.
I have been keeping it wound all week, but not wearing it, and the issue has not repeated. The watch is still under factory warranty. Since I cannot replicate the issue, I’m wondering if it is worth the trouble of sending it in for service. Any thoughts?

When you say that you have been “keeping it wound,” how often are you winding it?
I have a Hamilton mechanical field watch myself and no issues like you described for the last 2 years of normal use and time to time winding.

If it is still under warranty why not take it to an authorized service so that they can take a look, just in case..
If you can’t be without it, then monitor it for a few days of normal use and winding, no over-exaggeration and see the behavior.

It was wound until the stop and could not be wound any more
Because it is still under warranty, I would send it in. May be nothing but better safe than ($$$) sorry.
I too would take advantage of the warranty while it is still in effect.
I mean, for sure, if you are worried, take advantage of the still in effect warranty - that shouldn't even be up for debate or need validation from anyone else.

That said, its entirely possible that you just happened to underwind it on Sunday and the watch 'died' cause it didn't have as much reserve as you thought it did. Even people who have worn mechanical watches for decades can underwind a watch on occasion, or people as active as I am, have a slightly less active day and move just enough that the watch has a bit of reserve, but not enough to get to the next day.

If you want to try to replicate the issue, you should wear it since you were wearing it when you had the issue. If you’re certain that it was fully wound and there was no other logical explanation for it stopping (perhaps the crown wasn’t pushed all the way back in and might have wiggled out?), then take advantage of the warranty.
