These watches look fairly similar to me in photos. Both offer sapphire crystal without AR, and ETA 2824 movement. Hamilton is 40mm while the Archimede is 42mm. The Hamilton can be found for $50-$75 less than the German watch. Archimedes are known for their nice Ickler cases, but Hamiltons seem to be highly regarded in terms of bang for the buck.

I'd really like a no-date version of one of these, but I find the 6:00 date a little less offensive than the 3:00. Anybody know of a no-date watch along these lines?

I have four watches that get almost all of my wrist time (likely a fifth on the way) and they're all black dials. So as much as I love black dials, I'm thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea to mix it up with something different. The silver seems pretty cool, and the brown Arcadia is SHARP. ;-)

Thoughts appreciated. Always hoping forum members see something I don't when comparing watches.

Tough call on this one, but I like the Archimede better. Not sure which color though! I never handled either watch, but I have a feeling the Archimede would look outstanding "in the flesh".

The date window on the Hamilton looks awkwardly placed. Don't usually vote against Hamilton three hand watches, but this time I'm gonna.

I'd say Archimede is "highly regarded in terms of bang for the buck" too. Especially the Ickler made case is a +. Compared to that particular Hamilton the Arcadia wins.
