I think it looks good. I normally don't care for collaborations but this is not overly branded. The dial looks cleaner without the inner 13-24 numerals. No date means no numerals are cut, offset, or misplaced. Modern looking with sharp fonts and monochrome colors. The 3-link bracelet also looks to be fully articulating. All that praise, but this watch may not be for me. I already have 3 watches in the 36-37mm size. Too close competing with my Longines Spirit but I still want to see one in person.

Of course I bought the Expedition despite thinking the whole thing can be an even better package with just a plain bezel, and here goes Hamilton making almost the exact same watch as such not long after.

This is definitely a handsome piece. My only reservation is that from experience already owning a full Ti watch at 44mm, and knowing how ridiculously light it wears on the wrist, this one at only 36mm will really disappear on the wrist. Which may be some folks' cup of tea. But I like wrist presence even if I favor thin and small watches, which the 37mm all steel Expedition's got.

I like it quite a bit, but I like my Sandhurst more.

Edit:
I knew it looked thicker than the 10.6mm noted in the OP. It's 12.4mm. That is indeed a bit much given the other dimensions.

I've got a smaller wrist and I applaud them releasing this in 36mm but I'd probably rather get their 38mm blue titanium field watch even though its a little larger. As it is, without the inner hour ring, it looks too similar though less dressy/more every day to another watch I already own, the Stowa Partitio.

Just saw this at my local AD (they said they got it yesterday). The official photos of the case back which shows near perfect alignment is misleading. At least for the one I saw, the screw-down case back is slanted so that the half circle display window and words on the case back all look slanted.

Love the 36mm size and the official thickness is 10.6mm. Even if that’s only the case without the crystal and the Fratello site is correct (and they really measured it, which I doubt), 1mm and some for the crystal wouldn’t bother me for this particular light (titanium) and relative small watch, especially on a bracelet.

It isn’t cheap but in the same time it’s not particularly expensive either, considering limited edition, titanium and bracelet, unique case (for now) and clean dial without fauxtina. The case back is a fun extra and I woudn't loose any sleep at all if not aligned, on the contrary it ads to the character of the watch.

Especially opposed to other less interesting and/or more expensive offers from other established brands, I will not wait for an elusive discount on the grey or second market. 1999 is a large number, but they released one week ahead in selected Engineered Garments shops and the number is global, I bet they will be quickly sold out in Japan and the US at least. Besides the horological release, there’s also the collaboration hype which personally I don’t care, it’s just that all the ingredients are there for a great and special (in Hamilton khaki line and segment) watch, I really like it.

I did not take any photos nor did I take any measurements. But relative to it's 36mm size, the watch's side profile did look very thick/chunky. I don't know how thick in terms of a number. The 38mm khaki fields looked much better proportioned IMO. On the other hand, this watch is titanium so the thickness doesn't translate into heft on the wrist at all - it feels like a very light titanium watch on the wrist.
gotcha thanks man, noticed youre in hk as well which AD did you go to? Might need to check it out. So i guess youre not pulling the trigger i assume?

I confirm the thickness seems more like 12mm and I confirm it’s a a lovely and special watch. Being so light and relatively small, it does add some wrist presence and personally does not bother me at all. The dial, the invisible hands and the anti reflective coating are quite impressive, the barcelet is nicely done but typically titanium in feeling (light and rather rattly). Love the 36mm size :)
