Has there ever been an all digital HAQ? Seems could be done quite cheaply relative to analog dial. A HAQ G-Shock square would be neat!

Hi,
I think there was one made by a Swedish watch company. I think it was a technology derived from guiding missiles and it made itself into watch technology. I'm sure some of the old timers from the forum would remember.

I'd argue that it would be the ultimate tough G, with no dependence on the outside time sources.

I have to believe there's inadequate market interest. It's not like analog HAQ has notably displaced analog quartz. And, I suspect RF is too popular, so from (say) Casio's marketing perspective, where's the real need?

Yes it would be the ultimate G especially in a steel case. Because haq movements don't have the high tech appeal of those that use lw or gps signals the market would likely be small.
