Hi guys.
My dad own a Seiko Tuna 7549-7010.
Well, some stupid watchmaker welded the coil in the movement and it is not working for years.
The watch has a great sentimental value so i decided to do something crazy, is it possible to insert a different movement into the watch? maybe an automatic one? can you point me to a movement that can fit and work with the watch? thank you very much...

The 6309 or 6306 automatic movement from the 150m auto divers 6309-704x or 6309-729x or 6306-700x are a direct drop in. Here's an interesting read about such a mod:

There are many more posts about such a mod available online.

It also might be possible to resuce the original 7549 movment by using a NOS coil or by transplanting the needed parts from a donor 7548 movement. One of my 7549-7010's has been rescued by using parts from a donor 7548 movement.

Save the movement and get a y513 or a 7548 coil put in it. You can find them on ebay pretty often. Time Essential in LA can do this work at a great price. Good luck

I happen to have a working movement with a blue Dagaz dial and seiko hands in good condition. It was serviced about 18 months ago. Pm me if you are interested.
