This is the result of going the opposite direction. I love the AE1200, but I am not a fan of the world map, and the day/date is tiny. I do not like the case of the DW291 but like the module

The faceplate of the DW291 takes a little work to fit. Sandpaper the raised ring around the analog display until smooth. Also sandpaper the top and bottom edges just a little for a proper fit. The module just drops straight in.

I have to admit that I'm somewhat conflicted right now, but in a good way. I am extremely tempted to put my "AE1291" into a Kranio Design case.

The 1200 module looks really nice in the 291 case. However, the 291 module doesn’t look good in the 1200 case.
