I just finished up getting this watch cleaned/oiled and I would like to know more about it. I got it in a ebay junk lot and instantly loved it. Now the face says "Recta" and so does the movement BUT it also has Helbros crudely engraved on the movement and inside of the case back. Now is this a Helbros watch and Recta the model name? I think the balance says "HXW" but its so crudely engraved its hard to tell. Also its 33.48mm without crown. Any information would be great!

Looks very 1940s, the Super Shock-Resist device would be correct for that period. The crude engravings are likely US import marks- the additional Helbros inscriptions suggest, that Recta and Helbros were imported by the same company.

The movement looks like a Recta alright, something like this one:

Well, obviously not this one- everything seems to be a match, except for the balance cock. The Ranfft archive just doesn't seem to list a movement identical to the one in your watch.
