This watch was formerly my grandfather's but has now been passed on to me. He was a navigator in the Royal Canadian Air Force (flying Catalinas over the North Atlantic looking for subs) and supposedly these watches were issued to all navigators at the time. No pics of the innards as I'm deathly afraid to open it.

It's Swiss... beyond that it offers no clues without seeing the insides...

You mite post it in the pilot and military forum and some body over there mite know something.
...or take it to a watchmaker and have him opened for you, then take a pic of it. Also, he he opens it he'll see if it need a cleaning;-)
