Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone here can help me out with this odd looking shock system on the balance of a budget vintage swiss watch. The movement seems to be a Ronda as it has the logo of a star with RL inside. Its marked Cal.1217 1 Jewel Swiss, Agonchrom Watch Co. The movement was installed in a Chateau Divers 5 atm watch.

The thing I cant figure out is whether there is a shock protection on the balance cap or not, there don't seem to be a jewel there, just a funny looking steel plate. However, with the two slots on both sides, seems that it is removable, but I haven't tried it yet.

Hope someone can help enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the feedback. Read through it, but yours seems to cover only those with jewels.

I believe that this movement doesn't have any shock jewels for the balance.

As to the 1 jewel, I can only guess where it is, until I disassemble it.
