So for the life of me I cant understand the instructions under notes #1. I know its me but just need some guidance on what Seiko is trying to tell us to do with that note.

It just means don't turn the hand forward to the minute you want to set it at. Advance it past that minute a bit and then turn it back. You always do this on quartz watches and the opposite on mechanicals.

So for example, if the hand is at 5 minutes past and you want to set it to 10 minutes past, turn the hand forward a bit past 10, say around 15, and then back to 10. If it's already ahead of where you want it to be, e.g. at 10 past and you want to set it to 5 past, just turn it back to 5 past.

Thanks for that. I was probably reading too much into it. Thanks for the simple breakdown.
