What do u guys think ??? Do U guys think I should try to restore back to orig. state or get this stealth like a Real Black Frogman DW8200BK-1J with negative display ???

I got this from a friend of mine a yr ago as he has moved on to Swiss Mechanical Rollie ,so he passed me his Frogmate with a broken bezel since I asked him if he has any G-Shock to let go. This is something considering Classic and should I get a custom look ??? :-s

What's your suggestion and where can I get a NOS bezel ???
Would like to try a Zulu strap with adapters and where can I get one ???

Your time and suggestion is greatly appreciated.

:thanks you

Hi Kermit,

I would restore it in original state. Stealthing it like the Real Black will not work with a regular display. I think the red-ish display it the most eye catching mark of the Real Black.

My 2 cents...

I agree with Sjors :-! restore it to orignal.

Since you are living in Singapore, I must say it will be a great feat to get parts for DW-8200. For the pass 2 years, Japan have not ship anything to Singapore for this model. I would say, whatever you can find to make it work, do it.

My opinion.

good luck !!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you everyone here for your suggestion. Like planetz mentioned that It is really no easy feat to get a NOS DW8200-1B or strap. Been trying to lookout here and there but no luck at all. Was wondering if anybody has any source for for this model - DW8200-1B ???

Mansrow, I realised the link which u provided me is actually meant for real Black DW8200BK-1J. Something which I'm interested but to restore to orig. might require me to airbrush or painted the Frogman wording to "RED". I also wonder if the DW8200BK-1J bezel e same similar black compound as on the DW8200-1B ??? From my picture, the DW8200-1B looks like some kinda of Grey compound or has e black compound aged to a Grey shade.

Does anyone know of any source for a Zulu Adapter with strap to fit onto my Frogmate ??? Am sure somebody here is probably also looking into fitting a Zulu Strap onto their Frogmate ???

Your info and help is greatly appreciated|>
:thanks

Yes, that's the one with RED Letterings ! It's the DW8200-1B ya. I was thinking to do it to DW8200BK-1JF with negative display but since most opinions is given, it is better to stick to "Original" outfit.

I have not measure the lug width on my Frogmate but it is the same with
DW8200BK-1JF. Btw, is there any way to tint the glass red on a DW8200 - 1B ???

Cheers

u can always remove the module and tint the 'glass' from the inside.
u may try using car tint.

read my previous post and check out those zulu and adapter links and see if they help.

Just scanned through Yahoo Auction Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The first two links are band only but no bezel while the third link is too expensive.

For sure, it will appear again. You know, searching and hunting is part of the fun.;-)

To enjoy the frog on wrist immediately, buying a new bezel of any kind is not a bad idea.

Good luck.
