Hi all WatchUSeek friends,

I’m new to this forum and hope that I can get help from you all experts.

Recently I have bought s watch online, from an auction. I landed myself with an AP Huitieme 25644ST. I have receive this piece and is with me now. But there are some questions and I can’t seem to find my answers online. Hope that you all can help.

1. Is this watch genuine? I asked because the wording “Audemars Piguet” on TOP of 12 o’clock is so called painted with black colours. Others 25644ST that I find online don’t seem to have colour.
2. The back casing is engraved with “D1832”. What does this mean? Is it from manufacturer?
3. Why I don’t seem to find much info regarding this model online? Does it even exist?

Thank you all for your help! Any comments is definitely helpful :)

Cheers!

Attached are some pictures of the piece I have:

A check shows a few with the same painted name. May have left the factory that way or someone added it to make the name stand out.

Movement finish matches a few others I found. Found two back images. One had a similar number. Other nothing

One thing I did notice is that it might be missing a movement ring? I see an indent around the inside edge of case where it would have sat.

Is the movement tight in the case? Not moving when pulling crown out or winding?

Here's the image I found showing the ring. Little tabs around the movement. Maybe added pressure on the ring by caseback to hold movement tighter in place.

Most likely genuine. Not a model I could see someone copying as there's more popular and profitable models out there

I would get it checked out by AP if possible. They might also be able to supply the missing ring

Hi Don,

Thanks for your swift response. I tried but failed to get one Huitieme 25644 with a painted “Audemars Piguet” but is great to hear that you manage to find some pictures.

Regarding the missing movement ring... I’m not aware of it but the movements is pretty tight in it. The movement is not loose when pulling crown out for adjusting time/ date.

Just a noob questions cause I usually have mechanical watch. When ever I turn the crown, I turn them clockwise. But when I turn this AP 25644, I feel that the crown needs to be turn anti-clock wise.

Is my observation right?

Thanks again for your help and anyone one that can help out.
