My husband has managed to mangle his current g-shock that cost around £80 2yrs ago so thought we would upgrade as our wedding anniversary is approaching.

I have a budget of max £180
must have non metal strap
not too big as he only has small wrists.

He works off shore so needs to be waterproof and hard-wearing...

Any advice where to buy from in the uk (Scotland)
models anything you think i might need to know lol...

Thanks and 1st post so please be kind.

when you say he works off shore, do you mean like an oil rig or something? then he might find a tide/moon graph useful.. here are some of the models with tide/moon graph:

as for where to buy.. the UK members will probably have better suggestions..

but there is amazon uk, the official casio uk online store: Casio Online - G-Shock there are some other better online retailers but i'm forgetting the names.. I think the Watch Hut was one of them: G-Shock Watches | Quality Designer Watches | The Watch Hut

also the Casio UK site has a store locator: Store Locator - CASIO hope that helps..
Hi no color prefrence only thing that limits me is the budget but hoping to find a decnet one in that price range. Yes he is a rov pilot off shore so rigs boats etc

I will go searching some of your suggestions thanks it's very much appreciated. |>

Sounds like functionality is an important factor,

In that case I think you should definitely consider the G9300 mudman
The positive display is highly legible.
The big pushers are very easy to use even when you are wearing gloves.
The size is very manageable for people with smaller wrists.
It has a digital campass, time display in all modes, and arguably the most well-rounded g-shock out there at this price point.
And it is well within the budget

If your husband is a pilot, then maybe he would like an aviator :)

£180 should be able to afford you an aviator model, at least with an online retailer. Have a look at the GW-3000 series (all analogue, looks nice) and the GW-3500 series (ana-digi, more functionality), they don't wear too huge on the wrist, and if hard-wearing and water resistance to 200m is all that's needed, then every modern G qualifies :)

I'd add that from the ones that starscream recommended, the GWX-5600 'square' models are smaller and slimmer. Same size with any other 56XX models currently out, like the GLX-5600 series, GW-M5610 series etc. so if you're looking for something smaller, that would be a good place to start. There are a few models that feature a tide and moon graph, which may be useful for those that work at sea. Have a look at the GW-9110 Gulfman model as well, it's not as big as the others :)

As for retailers, you might find it hard to find highstreet retailers that carry a decent selection of G-Shocks at decent prices. Watch hut and Watchshop are both UK based, Amazon UK and just googling (froogling) the model numbers should bring up a few online retailers with better prices

G9000 Mudman. Decent battery life, very flexible features, and a good bezel design, fixing the prior mudman weakness. Most bang-for-the-buck.
