Hello all,

I am new to this forum, although i do post on the Russian Forum.

I read an article recently about a Seiko being on the American Space programme, the pictures were a bit indistinct, but it was a yellow Seiko, could anyone tell me if it was The same type Pictured.I picked it up recently at a car boot sale.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Russ

There was a post to this effect in the SCWF, and yes it is true, the yellow/gold dial pepsi style Seiko 6139 chronograph was indeed the first automatic watch in space (regardless of Sinn's claims to the contrary - with the Sinn 142). Have a read here:

Many thanks Isthmus for taking the trouble to find those links, they have given me all the information i needed.

Best Regards,
Russ.
