Hi everyone, I really love vintage Omegas and I found this one online. The seller does not have a reputation and it's an online auction site, not a reseller. He does not know about provenance either.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Sorry for some reason picture of the movement and back of the backplate did not load on the original post.

Hi, any of the resident experts can help? I think I managed to post most of the required info but not sure. Thanks!!
I'm going to out on a limb here and say that none of the other posters responded because we're trying to figure how much of a mess this is.

What is the model number inside the caseback? My old eyes can't read that.
Thanks cb1111! The number on the movement is 9832556 and on the caseback it’s 2374/4. Hope this helps. Hopefully not too much of a mess 😂
The movement number is the serial number,

Thanks, great thread. I’m not sure how to compare the two actually. movement looks legit, dial too.
This being a TURLER co branding might mean that they changed the hands? What else looks fishy to your trained eye?
Thanks again!
Hi,
It is not uncommon to see Italian fakes including an original movement, especially from that time period. The absolute worst part to me is the dial. It's either a completely botched attempt at restoring it, or plain and simple fake. Just nothing looks ok, from the hand-filed decor (look around 5 o'clock) to the funky-looking numbers and indexes looking all different from one another, not to mention the missing umlaut on the (off-axis) "TÜRLER" and the "OMEGA" letters of variable sizes.
It's suspect at least.

Why do you think the dial looks legit? To me, it looks like it was painted using a paint roller
I’m sorry I didn’t mean dial but backcover. Though that’s probably easier to fake.
Your advice made me abandon this project. Thanks so much!

Yes, that too. This is what marked casebacks from roughly this era look like SOLD - Omega 2421 - 2 ( OFFERS ) | Omega Forums

That caseback looks far too new
