I finally added an HMT to my collection and although I also want a more "traditional" HMT, I like coloured dials and certainly wasn't going to pass on this shimmery blue and silver fade dialed HMT Chirag.

...and because there's not much else going on, here's a picture of a cat with a watch on it's head ;-)

Excellent find, AlbartaTime. The dial looks surprisingly well maintained. Looks NOS to me and not used at all. Did you pick it up form your favourite site, TaoBao? ;-)

As Akshay mentioned, HMT hardly has any dual colour dial in production ATM. So, it definately is collectors timepiece. :-!

Beautiful! I have been looking for this watch and your post has been timely. Chirag also comes with a Brown dial.

I see that the hands and indiuce positions are lumed, Chirag means "light" so i was wondering if the lume is effective?

Well I finally found and bought a Chirag today, but with the brown dial. i am travelling presently and I will post the pictures soon. My version has slight variations as is expected from HMT, it has slender hands, snap back and a two fold clasp metal bracelet.

nice, looks better in real compared to catalogue. Dimensions looks like in-line with others, not to big. That brown has bit of green tint in it, is it?

It is slightly smaller than the Kohinoor or the Shalimar. The dial color changes, from the angle I took the photos, there is a slight green tinge, looking from a 45 deg angle it is more of a coppery brown in color.
