Yeah it blows my mind, because people are talking about frickin' Alibaba watches and yet Houson are making solid NH35 or 9015 watches at a reasonable (good) price that ... look nice. If I didn't have a Kingston inbound, and a Smiths PRS-25, I'd be grabbing their explorer model or the submariner. Tempted by the Cali dial, ...

Wow their Facebook page shows a lot of other cool stuff

e.g. a seriously nice caseback

15642317

e.g. a Tritium powered field watch ("Army 36")

15642319

15642315

This is INSANE, why haven't we heard about these guys...

PS.
I ordered a bunch of NATO's off them... TBD how that goes, will let you know... but I gotta find that Army 36 field watch now.

I contacted Houson:

1. They only have THREE (3) of the quilted dial Explorer model left, and only on a strap - none left on bracelet :(

2. If you want the Army 36, it's 350 USD + shipping, and I guess contact them direct to order for now

or go through their one retailer ... link below.

That retailer has no stock on the Explorer model on bracelet either.

I ordered (cough) 3 different models so will see how good they are.

Can't speak for all models but I have this chrono from them and love it.

I believe the guy who runs Houson also looks after the Asia Mechanical Watches Group who were responsible for some of the Invicta 1953 Limited runs (pictured).

Both times I bought from bitimepieces and had quick delivery to UK with no issues.

Hope that helps.

Just a couple more photos as I know have it on a tropic strap. I like the exhibition caseback on a quartz, just a bit of a different piece.

Weird that is says Swiss Made, Asia Mechanical Movement and the battery is visible.

Sorry, just read your message properly. It says "Asia Mechanical Watches Group" rather than Asia Mechanical Movement. AWMG is a collectors group on facebook which have done several "collaborations" with Houson, so just has their group name on it rather than saying it's mechanical.

Very confusing, and not clearly marked. They almost invited this identity confusion. (How very post modern, next it'll be telling us they're non-aligned and "curious") 😉

So after after moderate googling it seems the quartz in the Chrono' is a Ronda 5021.d chrono movement.
So a Swiss movement, and with Swiss made on the dial, it must therefore have claims to being more or less made in Switzerland.
